A few heart-stopping moments at the BFI Southbank yesterday as the onedotzero identity installation finally took shape. Atop five enormous towers now rest state-of-the art video projectors – each with enough power to light up an 8×5 metre section of the National Theatre’s wall.
After 18 hours of solid work, the team from Gaianova powered up the projectors as the sun slowly set over London, and the intensity of the display drew quite a number of strollers away from the banks of the Thames. The projectors deliver a whopping 18,000 lumens each– that’s over ten times the brightness of a typical video projector.
The team worked well into the night (well, morning) to ensure the installation debuts smoothly this evening. Based on the demo at the onedotzero adventures in motion launch party last night, it’s looking good…
