Last night onedotzero’s cascade workshop participants came together once again to present their final piece of work. The cascade workshop was hosted in the doodle bar 3 weeks ago, where students from 17 different creative disciplines came together for the first time. One the first day the groups were selected and they were to form and present an identity. After 1 hour of trying to get to know each other groups PIE, GRAY AREA, BETWEEN THE LINES and PO presented to the group. Over the remaining week groups worked hard to answer a brief about Utopia and the future.
After agreements, tears, arguments, happy times, and frustrating moments groups learned to trust one another and come together to form one voice and present one vision. The presentations were varied, and all were exciting. Highlights included:
Gray Area inviting audience members to ride a bike which powered their presentation and a small model of their idea.
PIE baked yummy home made pies and played a game that involved the whole audience.
Po linked the past and the future in an inspiring ideas archive that would invite artists to work with the ideas about the future, left by individuals young and old.
Between the lines gave a voice to the unappreciated streetlights find a poetic way for them to communicate with us.
The atmosphere was one of excitement and optimism for collaborating with people in the future. One person said, “I now believe anything is possible. I just need to find the right person to collaborate with, to make it happen.”
Stay tune for more quotes and pictures from the evenings event.
