40 graduates converged at the Red Gallery in Shoreditch to take part in the fourth onedotzero_cascade from 24-28 October 2011.
The high calibre graduates from 16 different creative disciplines from 29 universities, split into five mutli-disciplinary teams.
Their brief was to create a concept that responded to 'Delve_living in the layered city' set by onedotzero's creative director Shane Walter. The city is extraordinary and the challenge was to read the city through its varying layers - physical and virtual.
The teams were joined by professional practitioners including Kevin Palmer and Matt Wade from Kin, Andrew Armes and Darius Norell from The Spring Project, Sam Payne from Mother, Alastair Dant, Jonathan Richards, Alex Graul and Mariana Santos from The Guardian Digital Team, Derek Yates from Camberwell College of Arts and actors Keith Wallis and Tom Zieball who led workshops to encourage collaborative ways of working, develop presentation skills and support the groups in developing their ideas.
The week ended with each group delivering presenting their final concept to an X-Factor style industry panel including Kin, AllofUs, YCC, LBi, Ogilvy, D&AD and onedotzero.
