This is a personal project that would not have been possible without the support of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Thanks to the entire team for their generous access during training exercises and patrols this Summer. Since the Service began in 1973, it has carried out more than 21,000 missions ranging from urgent patient transfers to dangerous search and rescue missions.
This film is 100% 'real', but there are some new techniques for me here, such as using time lapse to create the illusion of forward movement for the helicopter ocean scenes. These flight sequences would not be possible without the skill and patience of Chief Pilot Peter Yates. Thanks also to Trevor Cracknell (for getting wet!) and Family.

Absolutely superb, thank you for sharing... I don't have enough bandwidth for the entire movie so heres hoping the fisherman in the orange tshirt survived!

Maravilloso trabajo keith.
What a beautiful film. Your pieces make me smile every single time I watch them. Which is a lot.
Beautiful work :)
Time lapsed device? What is your camera? If you got a camera that supports infrared remotes, you can use this infrared time-lapse device: http://tempus.bymac.org If your camera does not accept infrared codes, or even if it does, you can use this mechanical time-lapse device, that physically presses the shutter button for you: http://tempusall.bymac.org cheers!
featured in my blog, awesome! http://angeal.net/

What they said! We're not worthy, we're not worthy!
Stunning. Having been previously unaware of tilt-shift photography watching this video was something of a revelation. Kudos to you, sir!
Awesome video Keith! Not normally a fan of the Tilt-shift miniature effect but this works wonders!
DRUNK TANK WOOOOOOOOOOOOO
simply amazing
Great stuff mate! : )
Really enjoyed it! Brilliant and different!
thoroughly enjoyed that, really cool! what cam/lenses did u use?
Amazing work!
great video, That poor fisherman, that was a drill? Looked real, loved his kids hugging him. I dove that island in Australia, they filmed mission impossible on that bridge that connects the island. The swing tilt looked good, I thought maybe some were done in post? Doesn't matter, everything was right on!

I can tell not too much time is elapsed in each shot, could you tell me what second intervals the pictures were taken? I'm guessing on or two seconds? Thanks!
What mm of Tilt Shift do you have?
мне нравятся такие работы, где есть над чем подумать. Здесь это есть. Превосходно.
The guy falling off the rocks is funny!!!
Grandiose!!! Great job!
great graphic texture. it almost looks like stop-motion!
This is really awesome!! I've been inspired!
Amazing. I tought it was gonna be some tilt&shift boring thing but the story totally does it :D

I love words and right now at this very moment......I am a loss for words. Music is an integral part of my life..and, having found the accompanying music with lyrics, this hit my buttons very very hard. Also, I went to the new "home" and it is lovely, too. I feel lucky to have stumbled upon this! Now......how much luckier would I be if I could find a job! (anyone reading this? hiring? i can relocate :))
this is phenomenal :) amazing work with a tilt shift.
Wonderful!! You're an inspiration.
OMG Great Work!
