The latter half of the 20th century saw the built environment merged with media space, and architecture taking on new roles related to branding, image and consumerism. Augmented reality may recontextualise the functions of consumerism and architecture, and change in the way in which we operate within it.
A film produced for my final year Masters in Architecture, part of a larger project about the social and architectural consequences of new media and augmented reality.

great!!
this is amazing.
very 5th element like. I love the ads and stuff, good roto~ would be crazy to live like that :P
I also thought of Minority Report, but this video takes it further by allowing the user to bombard him/herself with ads for money.
superb. this hits way too close to home.
I think it's the "Girl From Ipanema" cover that really nails down the experience for me. The "Anyone up for a RL meetup?" is pretty harsh too.
Exactly Kyle, I had the same reaction to Ipanema ;)
The "Anyone up for a RL meetup?" is pretty harsh too. Brilliant addition.
kind of overwhelming life experience

This is the consumer's version of Minority Report, much prefer this! This is amazing
Thanks very much! Im really interested in how the big ideas in tech and sci-fi affect the mundane and everyday. Minority report is a beautifully designed film, theres an interesting article about its production design here: http://dir.salon.com/ent/movies/int/2002/07/10/underkoffler_belker/index.html
Cool!
The best futurology video I have seen about augmented reality! Congrats!
thanks!
i wanna buy some Keiichi Tea!
haha I only just saw this post, made me smile! Think there's a market?
i want the Keiichi kitchen! ;)
Superb.
Бугога))) Great!
Great technical show. I would caution that in making an aesthetic film, I would avoid the cluttered look. My eyes didn't know where to look - it felt disorienting. Maybe that's something of what you were going for here.
I'm pretty sure that's exactly what he was going for...
Super film! Thanks for sharing...
Superb. I'm looking forward to swimming through adverts and learning how to make cups of tea from the robotic voice in my head :) Seriously though, this is a very well made demo and an intelligent prediction on how AR will be used in our daily lives.
Hey Keiichi Matsuda, I really liked this. I have passed it onto working in Augment Reality. If you want to make it real get in touch with him . http://aquigley.blogspot.com/
brilliant
Awesome!
That's a scary scenario.
technically superb...visually stunning and a good scare!
c'est assez flippant. ça me rappelle une vidéo faire pour une expo, en N&B, sur la place des enseignes de pub dans notre quotidien.
Hope that we will invent time travel in the mean time… because I would rather live without it :)
it's almost here.........
私たちの未来かな... Very well done! Bravo!
Amazing! Even if this future scares more than anything I've seen! Bravo!
GReat !
This is killer!
Nice !
I saw this the other day and was blown away by it. Perfectly done.
wohoo, I'm on staff picks! thanks staff!
Of course you are!!!!!!!!!!!
amazing!
Flippant ! (super bien fait mais...flippant)
Many people seem frightened by this idea of the future, but I find it extremely exciting. The idea of so much information at your fingertips anywhere in the world is tantalizing. It WILL change how we view the world and that is all I can ask in a piece of important technology. Good job. I can't wait to see this made a reality, even with the downsides of information overload, commercialization run-amok, and whatever other unforeseen social changes come about as a consequence of it.
awesome!
Great stuff! What did you use for the motion tracking?
wow. i love this!
This is so COOL!!!!! Make a feature film.
I really liked this. Totally random to see the "Reform School Girl" poster in the midst of all of that advertising.
Lol thats great. Completly new aspect to. Good work mate!
words can't describe how much i like this, and the tracking work that's been put into it.... big pat on the back for this!
