panasonic co-creation 3 screen animation

a triple screen animation created by nomint and onedotzero for panasonic in japan

Japanese agency Dentsu approached onedotzero to develop, produce and creatively direct a triple screen animation for the launch of Panasonic’s brand new flagship venue in Osaka. onedotzero selected and collaborated with award winning animation directors NOMINT working closely with the Dentsu team to deliver in super tight timescales and specific technical considerations.

The brief was to convey the idea of co-creation underscored with Panasonic products in everyday life, split across three screens. The idea of co-creation showcased how Panasonic products, combined simple ideas with innovative technology - make household products that improve everyday life.

NOMINT directed and animated a cinematic and painterly style that cleverly weaves different characters, scenarios and products together utilising the three screens. The entire piece emphasizes the brand’s key message - ‘A better life, a better world’ by highlighting products at work and play, from the rooms of your home and office to your neighborhood and the entire city.

Panasonic were very happy with the work, elevating it to run in the venue for a whole year rather than just opening launch event.
