A multi-screen live AV performance curated and produced by onedotzero

Surface is a multi-screen live cinema performance developed by D-Fuse during Re-imagining the City - a year long touring project which stopped at twelve cities across South East Asia.

Through a series of exchange residencies, D-Fuse worked with local filmmakers, designers and musicians to document each city through the eyes of both the local and guest artists. With a live performance in each city, the output evolved with each stage of the tour and no two audiences saw the same show.

At the end of the extensive tour, D-Fuse remixed the final cut of Surface for it’s European Premiere at the BFI IMAX in London as part of the onedotzero_adventures in motion 2008 festival.

The result was a stunning moving image odyssey that captures the essence of urban expansion.

The Re-imagining the City project was curated and produced by onedotzero, in collaboration with the British Council. Read more about Re-Imagining the City here
